I didn't know you were growing sweet corn. I imagine multi-talented Farmer John baked the bread. The combo of corn on the cob and bruschetta is deeeeelish! The photo should be on the cover of Bon Apetite!
Simple eating, simple living, and simple thinking is a gift. Thank you today for this wonderful meal idea. I am going to try it in my Sierra Cabin. It helps to have a husband who enjoys veggies and other good food. Looking forward to more August news. Love, Aunt Louise
Jim said to tell you he one - upped you tonight. He wanted green peppers and onions with his beans so he picked a pepper, and had it gone within three minutes of picking. He giggled when he read about you eating the goods within the hour and said, "Tell them I got them beat tonight." He said this as his eyes glazed over and sleep overtook him. He's gone at 6:30 and back around 7-8 all day. Miss you all.
Mmmm, that looks tasty! Are those big pieces of bruschetta?

ReplyDeleteWe harvested our first tomatoes yesterday and had Pizza Neapolitan. Sooo good. Here's to home grown tomatoes!
ReplyDeleteNow, a big hereford beef hamburger would really make this a TLC special!
ReplyDeleteDad, I really wish we could be eating a Highland burger. Soon enough I guess/hope.
