...life on our West Virginia farm
You, John, and "Uncle John" have lovely gardens. But what's that brown, furry thing that sometimes gets us mixed up with rocks?
Is it a tortoise?
wait wait... is it a guinea?
I'm going with Lorraine! How long do we wait for your final answer, Mollie?
Yes, it is a tortoise. It hangs out in the kitchen garden. Farmer John brought him in the other day, and we discovered that he only has two complete legs/feet. The other two are missing claws. That turtle has led a rough life. So, I'm not mad at it when it eats the low-lying tomatoes.
Lucky turtle--to live in your kitchen garden and have you all as friends!
