Time to vote! (again)

Remember when we finally got our bridge?  It's doing quite well, and has really changed our lives.

Now it's time to add railings. We are going to have steel posts attached to the bridge (vertically) and wood rails attached to the posts (horizontally). The posts need to be painted before they are welded to the bridge.

Which of course prompted the question, "What color?"

What do you think? When we head down to hardware store, what color should we pick?* Time to, once again this week, make your opinion known. (Feel free to use the "Anonymous" option in the comments section if you want to keep your vote a secret.)

*We've actually already picked a color, so your vote won't really carry any weight, but go ahead and throw your opinion out there!

  2. Safety orange, rust orange, or 50's turquoise.

Notice there are two of us, so our vote counts* twice.

  4. Remember, Mollie, when you visited CA and remarked that the color of the GGB would be nice for your bridge. Usually it is sold in small quantities at the bridge gift shop. But the day we went there the business was closed for renovation. It is a special color in all seasons...not too bright...might work on the vertical parts. Perhaps there is more specific color info online. Looking forward to what you decide.

It should be the color of patience and perseverance.

  12. Faux! Gravel at each end, with creek painted on sides and in the middle, make it part of the landscape. Or like the old Gateway logo: Is cow a color? But I think it should be a covered bridge. Or there is always UPS Brown!
